World of Warcraft -- A dazzling display of dead dragons
Posted  February 2, 2011  by NapalmDawn

I am thinking they should rename us into something with "dragonkiller" in the title. In 2 back to back nights, we took care of the derp blind dragon in BWD and now the dazzling drake duo in Twi Bas. Perhaps we will be dragon killers for hire for some new gron faction.

Last night, we had 2 groups go 2 different ways. During a quick officer meeting last night, there was some opposing ideas for raids. Try and do

After Maloriak fell recently, we immediately began work on the next boss-the blind dragon Atramedes. This boss treats you to a little in-game

Oh Maloriak. Known for his string of experimentation failures, he failed to prevent us from killing him last night. This odd combination of a

World of Warcraft -- Halfus gets broken
Posted  January 21, 2011  by NapalmDawn

About 2 to 3 weeks into Cata, once we started getting quite a few level 85s, we went into Twilight Bastion and tried to get our feet wet in raiding. We fought our way through the initial, interesting trash in there and got to Halfus with a medium intensity set of drakes up. He kicked our ass as we experimented with the fight and how to best handle the drakes and manage the abilities. We got a little more geared and

World of Warcraft -- Wipe-o-tron defense down
Posted  January 11, 2011  by NapalmDawn

There is a reason this guy is nicknamed Wipe-A-Tron. Prior to killing him last Sunday, we spent some time learning the ropes on him. It's not that we spent nights or weeks working on him. We only worked on him for 2 nights prior but one of those nights had thirty two wipes on him. THIRTY TWO TIMES in one night. That number is slightly misleading. The reason you can rack up so many wipes is because of the fact that

World of Warcraft -- Lava worm goes splut
Posted  January 4, 2011  by NapalmDawn
Since slightly before Christmas, we've been bouncing around trying to figure out what will be our first target for Cata raiding. We've mostly been working inside TwiBast but we had gone over to BWD during our first night of raid exploring. The trash beat us up but we figured it out at the end. Sadly, after knowing how to handle the trash, we called it a night and never killed them.

On Sunday, we poked our head back into TwiBast to continue working on Halfus. We fought on 10, fought him on 25 and decided we really like 25 better. For Sunday though, we only went in with 10. While the group was not a BAD group, it was hurting for ranged AOE. This made doing the whelps an issue and

World of Warcraft -- First raid boss of Cata is dead
Posted  December 14, 2010  by NapalmDawn

While not what *everybody* would call a raid boss, it was still nice to get a jump on the game by killing Argaloth. He's a Brutalis style demon that sits in the PVP area of Tol Barard (Baradin Hold). Much like Wintergrasp, he is available when horde controls the zone. Not long after killing Yogg, a group of us went over there to try him out.

He is a pit boss style demon that has a high resemblance to Brutalis.
