In one of the most bizarre turn of events in our raiding history, NERV killed the Spirit Kings awhile back because a raider fell asleep. We'd been working on the kings after our successful kill of Gara'jal several resets ago. The kings can be a bit of a tricky fight as you can get a really good order in their randomness or a really BAD one. We made really solid progress on getting them down but happened upon a bad streak where we kept getting the the maddening shout going out early forcing us to deal with it nearly the whole fight. This usually resulted in one dead bear sitting on the ground. The hour started getting late and we just got back to the kings after a wipe. We sat there with 9 alive people and one dead Tuna. After 5 minutes of wondering wtf was going on, we gave up and was forced to boot Tuna out. We grabbed Agor who joined us . . and we promptly killed the kings on that next attempt. This week I'm happy to say NERV one shot everything on the way back to our current headbasher-Elgelon. I expect to see his sparkly head on our trophy wall soon though.
