Nervous System -- News
NERV steps on a crack, breaks Deathwing's back -- World of Warcraft News
  Posted  July 30, 2012  by

Step on a line, loot that asshole's spine. It doesn't seem like it's been that long since we punted Blackhorn off the boat but it is. It doesn't even seem like we've put in THAT many weeks vs heroic spine either. Regardless of the time, we finally gave DW a serious kink in his back.

The focus has shifted in the last week or so when it comes to how we handle this fight. In previous weeks, the issue had been getting the tendons done properly. At LEAST 50% damage had to be done each time it raised up. After a little bit of time, that issue got sorted out. It then changed to be more about surviving transitions. Lately, the main focus has been getting the fight packaged into 12 mins or less. The teams have been getting overwhelmed on that third plate with so much blood up. On one random attempt, we noticed we came CLOSE to the first tendon being done in one shot. An idea formed to go balls out and blast that tendon down in one shot freeing up several minutes to be more relaxed on the third plate. Focus shifted to this and we finally managed that in an attempt last night. With the first plate gone in one shot, we casually sauntered our way through the remaining 2 plates. With that amazing setup on the first section, we forced DW to crash land and we looted that heroic chest for the first time. From here, it should be a short hop to downing madness on heroic also. We currently sit at server #10 and horde #7 giving us perhaps our highest ranking this expansion.
